Composite Tooth-Colored Fillings
Composite fillings – also known as tooth-colored fillings – are dental resin restorations designed to be inconspicuous and natural in appearance. Composite fillings are made of ceramic and plastic compounds that chemically bond to the teeth. They can be used to fill in decayed areas of the teeth, as well as to help repair chipped or broken teeth. Composite fillings allow dentists to preserve more of the natural tooth structure because composite materials chemically bond to the surface of the tooth. We use BPA-free, fluoride-free composite materials. A biocompatibility test will be used to confirm which material is best to use for each patient. Though we use the most commonly biocompatible materials in our office, if another material is needed, we will order that specific material for that patient.
